Lighted Billiard Balls
Lighted Billiard Balls
By: Michael Kiely (1516)

Lighted Billiard Balls ($250) are very cool and very real regulation-size and weight billiard balls that can actually light up and flash for a couple of seconds upon impact. Each ball has 4 integrated LEDs and are powered by a battery that provides 50,000 flashes per ball. So, when I play pool with my Laser-Guided Pool Cue, I guess I really should be racking up and playing with these illuminated balls to complete the experience.  -  ( 3 Comments )

Actually the MSPR is only $ 159.95 and the light up balls are patent pending by Hampton Ridge Billiards in the USA. You can see a video clip of the original demo done at the Billiards Congress of America Convention showing them lighting up at http://www.hrbilliards.com/videos/DiscoBallsDemo.wmv

They don't roll straight at low speeds. The battery must not be centered within the balls.
